Sadhana is a daily personal practice. In the Kundalini Yoga tradition, it is suggested that a personal practice be done early in the morning, before the day ahead.
At Yoga Yoga, graduates of our teacher training program host free Sadhana classes on the weekends.
Here's a message from Cyndi, a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training graduate and our Sadhana coordinator for Yoga Yoga Westgate:
Sat Nam, Joyful Souls!
As part of our Kundalini sangat we have the beautiful opportunity to participate in group Sadhana. Sadhana translates to "discipline" and refers to our daily practice. When we practice together we are elevated by the energy of the group. Yogi Bhajan gave us the Aquarian Sadhana to carry us through the transition from the Piscean Age to the Aquarian Age in 1992.
The early morning Sadhana program at Westgate occurs Friday through Sunday beginning at 4:00 am and ending around 6:30 am. If you are a north side Kundalini fan, a modified Sadhana schedule occurs on Friday mornings from 4:30 am to around 6:30 am at Yoga Yoga North.
The Sadhana program includes an early morning mantra (Japji), warm-ups, a Kundalini kriya and chanting of the Aquarian Mantras. Please see the attached PDF for details on the Aquarian Mantras. If you would like more information or are interested in leading the practice, please contact me at smithcj3@yahoo.com.
Hope to see you there!
